SUMMARY:Second Global AgriKnowledge Share Fair
DESCRIPTION:The second global share fair will be a compelling, excitin
 g and “out-of-the-box” event, offering participants creative and i
 nnovative learning and sharing opportunities, thus equipping them to b
 etter influence future rural development activities.\n \nBuilding on 
 the success of the first global knowledge share fair, this three-day e
 vent provides a forum for participants to learn and share their knowle
 dge, experience and innovations on emerging trends relating to agricul
 ture, food security, price volatility, climate change, changing demogr
 aphics and other rural development related issues.\n \nThe event will
  feature talks by renowned practitioners in different fields along the
  lines of TedTalks.\n \nA vibrant market place will act as the nerve 
 centre of the fair. It will provide participants the opportunity to br
 owse through a “rainbow” of knowledge, experience, ideas and innov
 ations on offer. \n \nThe interactive sessions will use a number of 
 knowledge sharing methods such as TedTalks, world café, chat shows, p
 eer assist, fish bowls, open space.\n \nAnd a suite of knowledge shar
 ing methods/tools and web2.0 tools training will be on offer on day ze
 ro.\nDay zero: 26 September\nShare Fair: 27-29 September\n \nIn inter
 acting with practitioners, peers and partners, participants will have 
 an opportunity to discuss and explore:\n\nnew trends and thinking on c
 oping with market access challenges and developing markets for small f
 armers\ninnovative use of mobile technology and/or social media in the
  agriculture sector to enhance food security and nutrition\nthe impact
  of migration and population growth to feed future population\nnew tec
 hnologies and innovative agricultural and farming practices to increas
 e productivity\nopportunities for innovative partnerships including wi
 th private sector, farmer organizations\nenvironmental-friendly and gr
 een innovations\n\nWho is this for?\nThe share fair is open to everyon
 e: be that you are interested in agricultural development, be it that 
 you have a great innovation you wish to share, or you just want to lea
 rn about knowledge sharing methods and tools . We invite the leadershi
 p and staff of the Rome-based agencies, the country staff of our progr
 ammes and projects and our partners such as farmer organizations, bila
 teral donors, multilateral agencies, research organizations, civil soc
