DESCRIPTION:Climate change is one of the most significant risks facing
  humanity today. To prevent the consequences that would be generated b
 y an increase of more than 1.5 °C in global temperature, unprecedente
 d global action is needed. \nThe Paris Agreement requires global fina
 ncial flows to be consistent with the effective transition to resilien
 t, zero-carbon development. We need all relevant actors to engage in f
 inancial action that is not limited to public finance and climate fund
 s. Other key players need to be incorporated, including public financi
 al institutions, investors, and business groups, as well as capital ma
 rkets, banks, and other lenders, capable of mobilizing trillions of do
 llars on the path to transition.\nDecarboost - Catalysing Investment t
 o Decarbonize Latin America and the Caribbean is sponsored by the Inte
 rnational Climate Initiative (IKI) and funded by the German Federal Mi
 nistry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BM
 U).\nOne of the project’s core strategies is the Community of Practi
 ce in Climate and Investment (CoP), a collaboratively created space of
  opportunities.\nWe would be honored to count on your participation to
  be part of this regional space where concrete, viable, and globally-r
 ecognized solutions are developed and promoted. The Decarboost Communi
 ty of Practice in Climate and Investment will take place over a timefr
 ame of one year, and potentially continue for up to three years, to su
 pport your personal and institutional efforts to drive a decarbonizati
 on-oriented economy in Latin America. \nFour annual meetings will con
 tribute to knowledge exchange, close knowledge gaps between the sector
 s involved, create collaborative networks, and generate concrete solut
 ions. \nThe Community of Practice in Climate and Investment will be l
 aunched on March 4th (13:15 to 15:00 GMT+5), in the framework of the a
 nnual Nexos+1 event, a social and collaborative platform that supports
  the transformation of the Latin American private sector. \nAttached
