DESCRIPTION:This course is aimed at resource managers, policy-makers, 
 scientists, practitioners, private sector or civil society representat
 ives and mid-career professionals who work in the field of natural res
 ources management. Candidates should meet the following requirements: 
 relevant tertiary education, at least five years of working experience
  in the NRM sector. Proficiency in English is required.\nCourse object
 ives\nThe overall aim of the course is to contribute to sustainable re
 sources management by building capacity to manage conflicts over natur
 al resources. Upon completion you will be able to:\n\ncontextualise an
 d apply analytical frameworks and methodologies to better understand c
 ompeting claims on natural resources;\nexamine different conflict mana
 gement approaches and apply them to case studies;\npractice a broad ra
 nge of skills to manage conflict and  facilitate informed negotiation
  processes; and\nreview governance arrangements that could hamper or f
