SUMMARY:Course: Managing risk in the face of climate change
DESCRIPTION:The steady increase in climate related disasters such as f
 loods, cyclones, storm surges and drought have increased the exposure 
 and vulnerability of communities, their livelihoods, physical infrastr
 ucture and economic networks. An increasing hazard risk results in hig
 her human and economic losses from disaster events.\nClimate Change Ad
 aptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) both aim to improve 
 resilience and attain sustainable development. Participants will learn
  to recognize synergies, mainstream CCA and DRM and become a forward-t
 hinking managers who can anticipate and prepare for climate related ha
